With summer fun getting back to a level of normal for most, July in Ocean City will bring people together for a great cause: Amyloidosis awareness and research on Friday, July 30.
The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation (CMAF) is excited to return to Ocean City to host its triple-header of family entertainment, “Surf Fest, Slide for Amyloidosis and Taste of OC,” according to a CMAF news release.
It all starts early on July 30 with the 17th Annual Chip Miller Surf Fest. Supporters and participants will gather at the 7th Street surfing beach. The event is open to surfers of all skill sets.
Surf Fest also offers awards in more than a half a dozen categories.
There’s also clothing, surfboards, sunglasses and other merchandise available for purchase.
Surfers wait for the call to head out and ride the waves during the Surf Fest in 2019.
As the sun sets on the surfing fun, families will head to the OC Waterpark for an event like no other in the area, the release states. Over the course of two hours (four hours, if registered by July 12), supporters of the CMAF will enjoy private access to the waterpark.
There will also be plenty of eateries participating to give families a wide choice of places to eat after the full day.
Prices and participation vary, but complete details on the 2021 season and events can be found online at
