Dear Friends,
I hope you were able to enjoy a safe, happy and healthy Thanksgiving. It's been a difficult year for all of us, but we still do have much to be thankful for.
Let's all continue to do our own part in limiting the spread of the virus, so we can enjoy bigger celebrations next year. Even though the holiday season is upon us, now is not the time to let down our guard.
I want to remind you that our town hall meeting on flooding mitigation plans island-wide will be held virtually at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
We are in the process of finishing our presentation, and we will invite the public to view it at 10 a.m., followed by an online Q&A session.
Details on how to watch and participate are available here.
The presentation will remain online as a resource for anybody to see. It will also air on OCTV-97 at 10 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 6), 7 p.m. Monday (Dec. 7) and 9 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 8).
Seasonal beach tags for summer 2021 are on sale now. The discounted price of $20 will remain in place through May 2021. Visit
store.ocnj.us for more information on how to purchase online or in-person.
Have a great weekend.
Warm regards,
Mayor Jay A. Gillian
