Dear Friends,
N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy announced no new restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic in his news conference this afternoon. But as the number of confirmed cases in New Jersey continues to increase, he said it soon will be necessary to “tighten the screws” to slow the spread of the virus.
That could mean the closing of more businesses, more travel restrictions and even an order to “shelter in place.” Nobody is going to be happy about these potential directives. But we all need to be prepared to comply, and to be nice and be kind as we make these sacrifices. If we all follow these guidelines, we can protect ourselves, our families and our community.
I will continue to update you on any new developments as they arise.
Please visit

Warm regards,
Mayor Jay A. Gillian
