Ocean City will hold its semi-annual Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Shelter Road Recycling Center located off of Tennessee Avenue.
This event is free to residents and property owners in Ocean City. Please bring a driver's license or other proof of residency or home ownership.
Paper Shredding:
- Paper only; paper clips and staples acceptable.
- Paper shredding by a highly secure, mobile shredding unit.
Electronics Recycling:
- Small appliances, televisions, stereos, camcorders
- Computers, monitors, laptops and desk phones
- Also collecting CFL light bulbs
Cell Phone Recycling Program:
- Bring your old cell phones that will be exchanged for phone cards for soldiers overseas.
The Shelter Road Recycling Center also will be open noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, for Household Cleanup Days. Residents and homeowners can bring unwanted trash, furniture, cell phones and recycling. No contractors, construction or demolition debris, and no fluids, paints, or hazardous waste permitted.
