The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory in effect for Ocean City from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.Forecasters predict sustained west winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
Loose objects on your property should be brought inside or secured. All contractors are asked to secure job sites. Driving conditions could be hazardous. Heavy rain is predicted for the hours before the Wind Advisory takes effect. With the ground saturated from rainfall, the wind could down trees and limbs. No coastal flood advisory was issued. But if heavy rain coincides with high tide at 10:40 p.m. (on the bay side of Ocean City at the Ninth Street Bridge), localized street flooding could occur.
