Dear Friends,
City Council and I have proclaimed Nov. 25, 2019 as Roy Gillian Day in Ocean City on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
My father has dedicated his life to the service of the community, not only as a city commissioner, mayor, and county freeholder, but as president of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, president of the Shore Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, and chairman of the Ocean City Home Bank Board of Directors, in addition to many other volunteer roles.
The proclamation will be part of tomorrow night's City Council agenda. I hope you will all join me in wishing him a happy birthday and thanking him for his commitment to our town.
Warm regards,
Mayor Jay A. Gillian
