OCHS Students Grab a Piece of the "Pi"

Buckets are lined up on the floor of the high school gymnasium to test out one of the math-inspired games.

  • News
Students at Ocean City High School celebrated Pi Day on Thursday with some mathematically inspired fun and games. The mostly senior classes of Probability and Statistics created project proposals to be built and put into use for Pi Day. The classes voted, and the top 20 proposals were chosen and created. Students of Probability and Statistics worked the games all day and recorded the data.
The data collected from these games will be continuously used throughout the school year for further analysis. Pi Day is held every March 14 in honor of 3.14, the measurement calculating the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Buckets are lined up on the floor of the high school gymnasium to test out one of the Pi Day-inspired projects.
