A small plane attempted to land Sunday at Ocean City Municipal Airport but instead missed the runway and rolled off into the marsh, Ocean City police confirmed.
The two people on board the single-engine Cessna were uninjured, said Sgt. Pat Randles, a police spokesman.
"It was minor and luckily no one was hurt," he said.
Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the call at around 10 a.m. to find the plane stuck nose first in the muddy marsh.
Randles said further information would have to come from the Federal Aviation Administration.
