Sturdy Savings Bank recently presented the Cape May County Habitat for Humanity with the bank employees’ 2018 annual donation. More than $9,000 was raised for the organization through the generosity of Sturdy’s staff.
Every year, Sturdy employees select a local non-profit organization for donations. Habitat for Humanity was chosen for 2018.
Habitat for Humanity is an international nonprofit organization that helps provide affordable and quality housing for communities all over the world. Cape May County’s Habitat for Humanity advocates for affordable housing and promotes dignity and hope for so many in Cape May County.
Sturdy Savings Bank serves the community at 14 different locations, including Avalon, Cape May, Cape May Court House, Dennisville, Marmora, North Cape May, North Wildwood, Ocean City, Rio Grande, Somers Point, Stone Harbor, Tuckahoe and Wildwood Crest.
The bank often donates to local organizations, and supports schools because it values the development of young people in the communities it serves, Sturdy said in a press release.
