The Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation presented a $5,000 donation to the Jersey Cape Military Spouses' Club Tuesday night at its monthly meeting.The money will support the development of an online learning tool for Coast Guard spouses to help them assimilate into the military life.“It was nice to be able to make the presentation on Giving Tuesday,” said Mike Couch, executive director of the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation.
The Jersey Cape Military Spouses' Club promotes the morale and well-being of uniformed personnel and their families at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May.“We are proud to support their efforts with a $5,000 donation,” Couch said. Couch thanked the Lakewood BlueClaws and OceanFirst Foundation for the grant to the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation through the Home Runs for Heroes program. He added, "The large presentation check uses a dry erase marker in hopes that we can continue to support local causes in the years to come.”
