Bridgens, Paul Allen age 78, of Ocean City passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at Cooper Hospital of Camden, NJ.
He was born in Woodbury, NJ, and grew up in Sewell, NJ and Secane, PA. He started his business career working as an accountant at the Lenox China Company. Most recently, beginning in 1997 he began to work as a Manager in the Mining Industry in Bolivar, Venezuela. From 1990-1997 he ran the American Flyer Corp. Prior to that he worked with various manufacturing companies both in the US and other countries.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1957 until receiving his honorable discharge in 1960. He graduated magna cum laude with a business degree from LaSalle University. Predeceased by brother Wayne Bridgens of Kimberton, PA. Surviving are his children, David Bridgens of Ocean City, NJ, Kimberly Howells (Scott) of Marmora, NJ, Kate Barker (Drew) of Bryn Mawr, PA, Josue Bridgens of Bolivar, Venezuela, Paulo F. Bridgens Daniels of Ocean City, NJ, seven grandchildren, a sister, Glenda Vanderzaag (Bob) of Irvine, CA, and two brothers, David Bridgens of Texas and Robert Bridgens of Titusville, FL.
A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Saturday, April 7th at 12 o’clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from eleven o’clock until the time of service. Burial is private.
