The city has received many inquiries about a large-scale beach party this weekend in Ocean City that has been promoted through social media.
The city team and the Ocean City Police Department are aware of the event and have been tracking its planning. While it remains unclear what, if any, impact the event will have, preparations are in place to fully monitor it and to enforce local laws.
As always, visitors are welcome to enjoy Ocean City. But officers will have zero tolerance for offenses.
Residents and guests will notice an increased police presence on the beach, boardwalk and streets. Mutual assistance from other towns will be staged on the former auto dealership lot at 16th Street and Simpson Avenue. To report any incident, please call the Ocean City Police Department at 609-399-9111. For any emergency, dial 9-1-1.
