The Ocean City School District is proud to congratulate Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Taylor for being named Region III Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Taylor was selected the winner by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators based on the impact she has made as the educational leader of the Ocean City School District.
“It is such an honor to have been selected as the 2018 Regional Superintendent of the Year,” Dr. Taylor said. “I want to extend my gratitude to the entire school community for their support. I am humbled by this honor and realize this recognition is a testament to our amazing school system. I look forward to representing our region in the statewide Superintendent of the Year program.”
The Superintendent of the Year Program recognizes exemplary superintendents for excellence and achievement in educational leadership. The selection of the Superintendent of the Year honor is based on a superintendent’s dedication to improving educational quality, ability to build effective employee relations, and commitment to public involvement in education.
“This award is recognition not only for Dr. Taylor as the district’s educational leader, but a win for our entire community,” said Joe Clark, president of the Ocean City Board of Education. “Everything Dr. Taylor does is for the continued success of our students, our district and our city. She is a model leader who will represent our region well. Please join me in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor.”
A committee, comprised of past presidents of the New Jersey Association of School Administrators, will choose the 2018 New Jersey Superintendent of the Year from this year’s regional winners. The Superintendent of the Year will be announced in February 2018. See below for the NJASA release.
