Onesty , Tyler Jay, 22, of Ocean City, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from a heroin overdose, after a hard battle with addiction. Tyler was a graduate of Ocean City High School Class of 2012 and attended Atlantic Cape Community College. He worked for Playland’s Castaway Cove as a kid, and then went on to work at R & T Wark Event Consultants, Mattress One, Sleepy’s and Sherwin Williams. He was an avid Eagles and Flyers fan, played hockey, soccer and was a State champion with the Hamilton U14 team. Tyler loved his family, friends, all animals, and especially his beloved bulldog, Mr. Wrigley Wiggle Butts. He loved the outdoors, fishing and crabbing and vacationing in Maine. Tyler is survived by his loving mother and father, Sally Rosella (Wark) and Marte W. Onesty, Jr., his brother, Zachary Alan (Amanda Kate Stilts), grandparents, Jean Whatley, Marte W. Onesty, Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, aunts and uncles, Robert Wark, Jr. and Timothy Wark, Darren S. Onesty and his wife Doris, Donna
and her husband Gary Kunde. He is also survived by his cousins Alexis and Alyson Onesty, and Lizzy and Sam Kunde as well as many other loving cousins. Casual attire is requested by the family for the visitation and service.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fresh Start Church, 1049 Ocean Height Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 5 pm. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm until the time of service.
