Any Dad will tell you that Father’s Day is a great invention, but Father’s Day in Ocean City is like getting an additional all-day present. The new gift tie, the grilled burgers, the fellowship shared with other Dads…it all seems even better when it’s happening in America’s Greatest Family Resort.
Yesterday was no exception as families strolled the boards, braved high winds to hit the beach, and jammed the local restaurants at all three mealtimes, all in the name of honoring Dad.
At Oves Beach Grill, the Father’s Day celebrations were going full blast when our OCNJDaily photographer made the scene.
Dad, Joe Sheffer enjoyed a thick Father’s Day steak dinner, while son Chase opted for fried seafood and a baked potato. The food at Ove’s is always great. But enjoying a fine meal with family on Father’s Day? Priceless.
Further down the boardwalk our cameraman met a family from West Norriton, PA who were vacationing and celebrating the day. Dad, Esther Edwin was all smiles. He is pictured below with his wife Kanwal, daughter Yolanda, and his other daughter Olivia Fisher. Olivia now lives in Florida, but enjoys coming back to visit with her family in Ocean City.

Another Dad, Steve was surrounded by beauty with his wife, Abby and two daughters Joey and Laura enjoying each other’s company after hitting the rides at Playland. They popped into town from EHT to make Father's Day special.
Steve, Abby, Joey, and Laura had a great time at Playland and walking the boards.
Of course thousands of others took advantage of the fine weather and Ocean City attractions, but you get the idea. Our photographer had to return home himself and get the full Father’s Day treatment.
All in all, it was a beautiful day to be a Dad in Ocean City!
