The Shore Medical Center Speakers Bureau is available to promote healthcare awareness and quality of life for all members of the community. Cancer Screenings - The NJ Cancer Education and Early Detection Program provides free cancer screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer for people who are uninsured or underinsured (high deductibles or out of pocket expenses). Shore Medical Center is pleased to introduce the Center for Family Caregivers, a free, public resource dedicated to the support and well-being of the family caregiver. *NEW* Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiver Support Group
Designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers through regularly scheduled meetings. They help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems. The groups encourage caregivers to maintain their own personal, physical and emotional health, as well as optimally care for the person with dementia. The support group at Shore Medical Center is held the 2

Free Community Event: A discussion on Dementia, Management & the Future
Shore introduces the first in its 2018 series of community wellness events. This month, the event features Shore Physicians Group neurologist and medical director of the Flora Baker Center for Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders, Dr. David Roeltgen, who will explain dementia, offer tips for caregivers and discuss the future of care for this population.

Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery education programs provide comprehensive educational opportunities to learn more about what will be involved in your care at Shore. Shore’s Tobacco Prevention & Treatment Program offers counseling with trained tobacco dependence treatment specialists. You will receive individualized planning sessions focused on tips, strategies and relapse prevention, plus updated information on nicotine replacement therapies. For information, call 609-653-3440.
OUTPATIENT NUTRITION COUNSELING
Shore offers outpatient nutrition counseling led by registered dietitian nutritionists who translate the science of nutrition into real-world solutions for healthy living.
