Dear Friends,
Dredging of the main area of Carnival Bayou is now complete, and bathymetric surveys indicate that all depth requirements have been met or exceeded. Trident Marine Piling has been hired to remove material from a buffer zone between private boat slips and the lagoon using mechanical dredging. Anybody who has not already finalized arrangements for dredging of private slips can call Joe Stewart from Trident at 609-703-7466 for an estimate.
Trident is also finishing work on dredging portions of Sunny Harbor and South Harbor and contracting with private owners to dredge boat slips there.
Work on beach replenishment and boardwalk reconstruction projects continue to make good progress. Beach crews are approaching Seventh Street in an effort to rebuild beaches between Seaspray Road and 12
th Street. The boardwalk contractor is working to put decking in place to provide access to stores near 10
th Street before Christmas.
Work continues on road and drainage projects throughout town, and bids on the north end drainage project between First Street and Eighth Street are expected to be opened on Dec. 19 with work beginning early in the new year. I thank you all for your patience during these construction projects.
A musical version of the Dickens story “A Christmas Carol” opens tonight on the Ocean City Music Pier. Five more performances of the Ocean City Theatre company production are scheduled through Dec. 16. For more information and advance tickets, visit

Warm regards,
