OCEAN CITY, N.J. — United Methodist Communities at The Shores Executive Director, Jennifer Courlas, announced the appointment of Dr Robert M. Grife, as medical director for the senior retirement community. With special focus in Stress Management and Geriatrics, Dr. Grife also holds Board Certification in Family Medicine. He will oversee all care levels including assisted living, memory support, long term care, short term rehabilitation, respite, and hospice.
Dr. Grife received an undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, and then studied at Ross University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at Underwood Memorial Hospital. With professional affiliations at multiple hospitals in the Ocean City area, including AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Cooper University Hospital, Dr. Grife has been in practice for about 14 years.
Corresponding to United Methodist Communities organization-wide use of electronic health records, Dr. Grife has extensive training in the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program. The incentives are designed to support health providers transitioning to internet technology and instill the use of EHRs in meaningful ways to help our nation improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient health care.
Giving further evidence of his commitment to older adults, Dr. Grife is a participant in Medicare Physician Quality Reporting System Incentive Program, which is a quality reporting program that encourages individual eligible professionals and group practices to report quality of care information to Medicare.
“Beside his credentials and experience, Dr. Grife voluntarily participants in impactful programs with national partners to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient health care,” reports Ms. Courlas.
