Mom Donna and daughter Christina Young took advantage of yesday's spectacular weather
Warm temperatures, cooling breezes and blazing sun greeted Ocean City beach-goers on Tuesday
Autumn leaves, pumpkin spice latte and…beach chairs?
As crazy as that sounds, Tuesday’s weather created a bonus beach day in Ocean City, with at least one more predicted for tomorrow.
Hooky-playing office workers, school-skipping students and sun worshippers of all kinds were in full effect on the Ocean City beaches yesterday. OC residents and visitors alike took full advantage of the situation.
Donna Young and daughter Christina Young, both of Galloway Twp., were spotted on a boardwalk bench soaking in the sun and breeze.

“My only regret is I didn’t bring our beach chairs,” Donna said. “If we had them, I would probably be asleep right now.”
Yesterday’s temperature of 82 at Atlantic City International Airport threatened the all-time record (83). Temperatures on the island were in the high 70s with the ocean water temp at 68, according to OCNJDaily’s surf report.
It was shorts and T-shirt weather for this unidentified jogger.
Christina Young, a special education grad student at the College of New Jersey said she frequently comes to the beach “even in the dead of winter” because of its calming effect on her stressful class schedule.
“Today feels like the last bit of summer,” she said.
Donna, a native of the Chelsea section of Atlantic City, said her family members were all avid beach-goers and sailors.
“My son relocated to Houston for his job about a year ago and I haven’t even been down there to visit him because every time he has a chance to take some time off he wants to come back up here.”
Nora and Patrick Fischer, of Morristown, lounging on beach chairs on 2
nd St., saw their beach day as a crime of opportunity.
Nora and Patrick Fischer were in town to close up their summer home for the winter and instad found themselves haging out at the beach at 2nd St.
“We have a house down here and needed to do some things to close up for the winter and today looked like the perfect day to do it. So we sent the kids off to school and here we are.”
The couple who celebrated their 23
rd wedding anniversary last weekend said they “pushed the celebration back to today,” according to Patrick. “We’ll do a few things we need to do at the house and then head out for a nice dinner,” he said.
Kathy Amato and Ron Forster were hanging out on 3
rd St. beach with their dogs Toby and Rocky. They took off from work and drove down from Springfield, Montgomery County, PA.
“The water feels like its early July,” Ron said. “Just a little chilly. But not too chilly to go in,” he said.
