Myers, Robert S. 85 of Somers Point, NJ passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was formerly of Ocean City, NJ moving to Somers Point, NJ 18 years ago.
He worked as Vice President for Pennsylvania Lumbermen’s Mutual Insurance Company in Philadelphia, PA for 35 years before his retirement in 1990.
Mr. Myers was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Army. He was a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Somers Point, NJ, a former member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in Ocean City, NJ where he served as Treasurer, and a member of the Archie Harris Booster Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Esther Myers. Surviving are four children, Diane Wagner (Kenneth) of Palermo, NJ, Patricia Moran (Michael) of Dover, DE, Robert Myers (Della) of Somers Point, NJ Edward Myers (Barbara) of Greenfield, NJ, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Wednesday, November 2, 2016, morning at 11 o’clock from St. Joseph’s RC Church, 606 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ where friends may call from ten o’clock until the time of mass. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
