  • News
Doto, Rocco A., 63, of Seaville, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016, surrounded by his family. Rocky was loved and respected by all who knew him. His dedication to the Cape May community spanned over 30 years as both an educator at Cape May City Elementary School and manager at the Beach Club of Cape May. Predeceased by his mother Rita (Amoroso) and father Rocco Doto; he is survived and missed by his adoring wife of 36 years, Catherine (Perrine) Doto; his children Jill (Jerry) Monaco and Jenee (Jason) Riggione; his siblings Michael (Maureen) Doto and Michelle (Ed Prem) Doto; his in-laws Robyn (Wayne) Schultz, Michael Perrine, and Josephine Perrine; and his "adopted" family Leeanne (David) Tarr and children and Alexis Alfonso; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be additionally missed by his fur family Izzy, Sidney, Charlee Mae, and Slider. Rocky made a positive impact on every life he touched. The "self-appointed mayor" of Cape May, there wasn't a person he couldn't talk to. Rocky lived his life motto each and every day - "Go Big, or Go Home!" In true Rocky fashion, no funeral service will be held. Please join his family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Cape May Winery, 711 Town Bank Rd., Cape May, NJ 08204 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm (open house) and help us toast a great man. Donations may be made in Rocky's memory to the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For condolences to the family, visit www.godfreyfuneralhome.com.
