Blanche D. Mazurie,”Mrs. Maz” 84, of Sea Isle City, NJ, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and School Bus Driver surcom to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She is survived by her loving husband John of 63 years, daughters: Denise Hemby, Joyce Allegretto (Bill), son: John Mazurie (Lea), grandchildren Drew (Elizabeth) Bakley, Marc (Mikhaila) Hemby, Jenna Hemby, Daniel Allegretto, John Mazurie, II and Leo Mazurie, three great grandchildren: Max, Hannah Hemby and Addison Bakley and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Joseph and Betty Ruh, daughter: Linda Mazurie, son-in-law: Paul Allegretto, brother: Joseph Ruh, sister: Elizabeth Ruh and mother-in-law: Gertrude DeVaul. Mrs. Maz moved to Sea Isle City from Philadelphia at the age of 13 married the love of her life John after working with him at his family restaurant. She raised four children, was a business partner/owner of Mazurie’s Laundromat, Doc II fishing boat and owned two school buses. She was a strong presence not only in her family’s life but many others. She was very active in the community including former Girl Scout, Brownie and Boy Scout leader, volunteered with the Sea Isle City Ambulance Corp., PTA and anything else anyone needed help with. Her passion in life was her family, extended family and her community. Mass of Christian Burial was offered on her 85th birthday Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11 o’clock from St. Joseph’s R. C. Church, 43rd Street and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City where friends may call from 9 o’clock until time of Mass. Burial was followed in Seaville Methodist Cemetery, Seaville, NJ.
