Traffic Alert: On Wednesday (March 16), 34th Street will be closed to traffic as crews work on the county roadway between Bay Avenue and West Avenue. Traffic will be detoured to 35th Street to get around the work area.
West Avenue between 31st Street and 33rd Street will be paved on Thursday (March 17). Traffic will be detoured to Asbury Avenue from 31st Street to 34th Street as paving work completes a project by New Jersey American Water Company to replace a water main.
The work and detour schedule is dependent on the weather. All businesses in the project area will remain open with police directing local traffic.
