Karen Bergman, Councilwoman at Large, flanked by her campaign manager Kim Davies filed
342 petitions with the Ocean City Clerk for the privilege of running for the At- Large Council seat vacated by Michael Allegretto. Councilwoman Bergman was unanimously appointed to the seat by Council in October 2015. When asked to comment on her filing, Karen stated that she is honored to be representing the citizens of our great town and she said, “I feel sooo grateful to the 342 neighbors, friends and citizens that have faith that I will continue to be their voice at the council table”. Councilwoman Bergman outlined her platform of continuing to work for the people with the Administration for a commonsense, aggressive, capital plan to ease flooding, fix our infrastructure and tackle dredging. She is very proud of her past experience on Council and looks forward to listening to the people and bringing their concerns to the Council table.
Councilwoman Bergman is the Director of Catering for the Flanders Hotel, a 25 year resident of Ocean City, former independent business owner of Nash’s News in Ocean City and proud mother and grandmother.
