After getting a glimpse of the OCIS Theater Club's performance of "A Christmas Carol", it is a must see event. Wednesday evening, the cast and crew performed a dress rehearsal and their timing and passion was spot on.
This is not some watered down version of the classic. They are performing the complete musical version of the play with live musical accompaniment. Michelle Tornblom and Andrew Benfer are directing the production.
Ms. Weaver, a 6th grade social studies teacher, will be playing live piano for the entire show.
Erik Wagner, for the third year in a role, will play the lead role. He is taking on the part of Ebenezer Scrooge. When asked about the experience, Erik said "
It's been a great experience for the entire OCIS Theatre Club to do a full version of the show instead of a shortened version of the original. Everybody has worked hard and is excited to present this musical to our family, friends, and fellow students."

A production this large is challenging for most high schools, but it is not intimidating this fourth to eighth grade cast. Julia Wilson, who plays Mrs. Fezziwig
, said with a smile "We have had so much fun working on this production. We cannot wait to perform on Friday night".

The show is this Friday @7pm at the Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center, Ocean City High School. Tickets $7 for Adults and $5 for Students. Please come out to see and enjoy this great performance.
