Historical Museum Welcomes Marian Talese

Photograph courtesy of Marian Talese” ” The Ocean City Historical Museum continues its Summer Lecture Series this Thursday, August 11, with Marian Talese.  Marian Talese is a well known local and professional artist.  Having been born on the island, she has a unique perspective on the island’s history.  She will be sharing stories about Ocean City, for her, it’s “My Home.”  Her story goes back to Joseph, her father, and his arrival to Ocean City 1922.  Her talk will be accompanied by historic photographs.  Program begins at 7pm in the Public Library’s Maloney Hall.  The Ocean City Free Public Library is located at 1735 Simpson Avenue.  Please contact the Museum at 609-399-1801

Photograph courtesy of Ocean City Historical Museum” The Ocean City Historical Museum was created more than 50 years ago to help preserve the history of America’s Greatest Family Resort.  Located at the Ocean City Community Center (1735 Simpson Avenue, OC, NJ), we are a non-profit which hosts exhibits that share the stories of our community from its beginnings to the more recent past.  The Museum is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm; extended hours on Thursday 10:00am – 7:00pm; for the month of August – Sunday: 1pm – 4pm.
