Mayor Jay Gillian: 'Ocean City Lost One of Its Leading Citizens'

  • News
John Kemenosh of Ocean City, NJ The following is Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian’s
weekly update to citizens posted on Friday, Nov. 6.
Dear Friends, Ocean City lost one of its leading citizens this week with the passing of John Kemenosh. His many contributions to our community have been widely reported by our local media, and rightfully so. What I will always remember about Mr. Kemenosh goes beyond community service to include just what a great guy he was to be around. I will always appreciate his kindness and support for Michele and I over the years. May he rest in peace. I have scheduled a Mayor’s Town Hall Meeting regarding the pump station project for the neighborhood between 2nd and 8th Streets west of West Avenue. This meeting will take place on Saturday, November 14th at 10 a.m. at the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall in the library located at 1735 Simpson Avenue. Representatives of the design engineering firm will be present to explain the project and answer questions. I hope you will join us for our annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Warm regards, Jay A. Gillian Mayor
