Snow blankets Central Avenue at the south end of Ocean City, NJ, on Thursday afternoon during a storm that left more than 7 inches of snow in Ocean City.
All Ocean City schools will be closed on Friday, March 6.
The schools were closed on Thursday during a winter storm that dumped rain, sleet and more than 6 inches of snow on the island. The district announced late Thursday night that they would be closed again on Friday due to hazardous travel conditions with the heavy mix freezing on roadways.
School officials had announced a delayed opening for Friday, but they reconsidered.
The temperatures overnight are expected to fall to around 10 degrees with wind chill values below zero.
