Ocean City Rowing and Athletic Association directors Fred Miller and Vince Hink presented the 14
thannual Dr. Alfred “Bud” McKinley Scholarship o
n Monday (June 1) in the Ocean City High School’s Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center.
A total of $2,250 was awarded to lifeguard Erin Myers, lifeguard Madeline Brady, lifeguard Mason Yeager and Karissa Bourbeau.
The scholarship honors the memory of OCBP Lt. McKinley who died on May 11, 2001 at the age of 61. It is presented to students who exemplify the academic and athletic achievement that was personified by McKinley.
