In celebration of National Heart Month in February, Nashville North Studios and TLC Rehab & Wellness Center will present the “Art From The Heart" exhibition, a group art show featuring award-winning artists Diane Brown, Joanne Coffman, Rae Jaffe, Chuck Law, Annette Maynard, Michael Waters and Judith Saylor Allison.
Most of these artists are members of the Ocean City Fine Arts League, and you can also find their work on display at the “Art on Asbury” Gallery in Ocean City.
The opening night reception will be held 5 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 11 at TLC Rehab and Wellness. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
The artwork is for sale and will be on display from Feb. 1
through April 30, at TLC Rehab and Wellness Center, located at 1418 New Road in Northfield and open Monday-Friday during business hours.
Diane Brown:- She is an award winning artist who has exhibited throughout South Jersey. Her artwork can also be found in many permanent collections throughout the tri-state area. Diane’s studio is in Somers Point.
Joanne Coffman: A graduate of West Virginia University with a BA in Visual Arts, she has been influenced by various local artists. She has won several awards including a finalist in the Ocean City Arts Center juried shows. Joanne’s current artistic focus surreal graphite drawings She resides in Egg Harbor Township.
Rae Jaffe: Her first love is painting in oils, but she also enjoys working with pastels. She takes everyday scenes and elevates their importance through the use of color. Rae is a member of the Noyes Museum of Art, The Ocean City Arts Center and President of the Ocean City Fine Arts League. She resides in Ocean City.
Chuck Law: A professional artist from Linwood, he specializes in traditional oil painting, particularly
plein air and studio landscape. His work is well recognized both locally and nationally. His paintings were recently published in the book 100 Plein Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic and his paintings of local scenery can be found in a number of galleries in South Jersey. Chuck loves to compete ( often taking top awards) in area “paint- out” events throughout the east coast. He also teaches classes in oil painting and plein air techniques.Chuck Law is a Signature Artist member of the Noyes Museum of Art. He is also a member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters, Oil Painters of America and the Ocean City Fine Arts League. Website:

Annette Maynard: Alana, a.k.a, Annette Maynard has been a teacher and counselor most of her adult life studying Eastern and Western traditions. As an artist she revels in the outward manifestation of her inner thoughts that have shaped not only her life, but those who she has touched around her. As a visionary artist she works in mixed media, watercolor and acrylics. Annette is a participating artist at the Noyes Museum, The National Arts Program in Cape May County, Ocean City Cultural Arts Center, Atlantic Community College, Atlantic City Arts Center, and The Ocean City Fine Arts League.
Michael Waters: An accomplished and award-winning artist, Michael has won numerous awards throughout the region. His work has been exhibited by The Society of New Jersey Artists, The Toms River Artists Community, The Willingboro Arts Center, The Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, The Ris Gallery, The Holtzman Gallery and the Noyes Museum of Art, where he is a signature Artist Member. He takes an unorthodox approach in handling his artistic materials, and adds varying texture to intangible forms and bold colors to create a visual pulse that gives the work more interest, yet still results in classic balance and harmony. Michael resides in Ventnor and attended Parsons the New School for Design in NYC and worked as a fashion illustrator in the Garment District.
Judith Saylor Allison: Resides in Linwood and is a self taught, nature painter who exhibits in Miami, Fl and NYC. Her materials include canvas, acrylic and oil paint, with a concentration on plant portraiture and expansive Earthscapes. Painting what she calls the "Nearby and Faraway". She currently has a one woman exhibition at TLC Rehab & Wellness ending on 1/30/15. Her studio is located in Linwood at Nashville North Studios in Linwood Greene. She is a participating Associate Artist with the Noyes Museum of Art, a member of the Ocean City Fine Arts League and Ocean City Arts Center. Her website is
