A wet snow that began to fall about 3 p.m. in Ocean City could create icy road conditions as temperatures dip into the 20s on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

About two inches had accumulated by 5:30 p.m., and forecasters predicted another inch or two would fall on Wednesday evening. A winter weather advisory remained in effect until 10 p.m.
The low temperature on Wednesday night was expected to be 27 degrees — potentially icing over wet roads topped with new snow.
Thursday should provide a thaw with the return of the sun and a high temperature of 38 degrees.
But another system will arrive on the heels of this one. The National Weather Service predicts a "significant coastal storm" drenching Ocean City Friday night into Saturday.
Forecasters say the storm could start as snow or sleet before dumping an inch of rain on Saturday.
