Snow turns the north end of Ocean City into an arc of white on Tuesday morning (Jan. 6). The precipitation started near dawn and began to taper off by noon. The snowfall did not disrupt the school day in the Ocean City School District — all classes were held on schedule. All roads in Ocean City were passable with traffic moving easily through the light snow even on roads that had not been plowed. The coating of snow likely will stick around, and roads could get slippery as temperatures are expected to fall over the next few days. The high temperature on Wednesday is expected to reach only 31 degrees with northwest winds gusting as high as 45 mph. The low temperature will fall into the mid-teens on Wednesday night, and the high on Thursday is expected to be only 23 degrees.
