The Ocean City Board of Realtors' “Food Is Love” drive has been extended through Tuesday, March 3.
The drive had been scheduled to end Saturday (
Feb. 28).
The Food Is Love, Share Some Love winter food drive will collect food items, monetary donations as well as ShopRite gift cards, which will be donated to the Ecumenical Food Cupboard to provide for local needy families.
Donations can be dropped off at the office of the Ocean City Board of Realtors, 405 22
nd Street, or call the office at
609-399-0128 for pickup service.
Here is a brief list of some of the items that the Food Cupboard has identified a shortage of and is in need for:
- Hormel Microwaveable Meals
- Microwaveable spaghetti O’s, lasagna, meatballs & spaghetti, ravioli
- Canned meats (corn beef hash, Spam, Dinty Moore stew, etc)
- Jelly, Peanut Butter
- Juice
- Tomato pasta sauce (26 oz.)
- Canned beans
- Liquid laundry detergent (48oz)
- Dish detergent, Paper towels
- ShopRite gift
“Post holidays, the Food Cupboard needs to be replenished, and we encourage our Realtor family, friends and neighbors to donate items for the Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard that will 'Share Some Love' this winter for families in need,” said Gloria Votta, chair of the Community Services Committee, Ocean City Board of Realtors.
