The “Le Petite” Art Show will run through December at the Art on Asbury Gallery.
Each December local artists have the opportunity to enter original work of any subject to the Ocean City Fine Arts League's "Le Petite" show. The length and the width of the artwork must add up to 20 inches or less.
This year Marilyn Brent of Linwood won the first place for her small format painting titled “Risley’s Field.” Mary Ann Kline of Egg Harbor Township took second place for her oil painting titled "Green Sugar Bowl."
Honorable mentions include: Diane Brown (Somers Point), Shirley Hawthorne (Ocean City), Rita Michalenko (Mays Landing), Cathy Skinner (Mays Landing), Pat Smith (Linwood), and Winnie Witmer (Mays Landing).
The "Le Petite" artwork is for sale at the gallery in addition to other watercolor, glass, mixed media, pottery, photography, oil and acrylic, textiles, jewelry and sculpture, made by local artists. The gallery is located at 608 Asbury Avenue. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The Ocean City Fine Arts League will feature a "Judge's Show" during the month of January.
