Ocean City American Legion Post 524 welcomed its final military family of the 2014 season on Wednesday (Sept. 17) for a one-week rest and relaxation vacation in America’s Favorite Family Resort.
United States Air Force Master Sergeant Phil Pascoe, his wife, Laura, and their three children, Lance (14), Madison (7) and Taylor (4) will be treated to a free condo and a multitude of gift certificates and entertainment packages courtesy of local merchants and the efforts of Post 524’s Rest and Relaxation Program.
“Now in it’s second year, the Rest & Relaxation Program says 'Thank You' to military personnel and their families,” said program director Steve Cole. “Whenever a serviceman or servicewoman is deployed, their family also shares in that deployment and we should support their efforts as well.”
Master Sergeant Pascoe, attached to the Air National Guard’s 111th Attack Wing at the Horsham Air Guard Station, is a native of Hanover, Pa., and entered the Air Force in May 1994. He has served in a variety of positions at squadron and headquarters levels, with significant multinational, coalition, joint service and inter-agency experience in support of Operations Southern Watch, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He deployed with coalition partners as a security lead for highly sensitive intelligence and battle planning.
Presently, Pascoe is stationed in the Republic of Korea overseeing a joint exercise between NATO partners, where he is disseminating incoming combat information. His command oversees a global network of satellite communications. Master Sergeant Pascoe is responsible for the professional development, security and control of assets assigned to the 380th Security Forces Squadron. He has been awarded five meritorious honors for his service.
