Celebrate the musical legacy of South Jersey and have a great time partying and dancing to the biggest hits by the most famous recording artists that ever played the legendary Tony Mart’s on Bay Ave. in Somers Point.
The show features seven of the region's greatest performers: Bob Campanell, Dr. Bobby Fingers, Danny Eyer, ”Ernie T” Trionfo, Howard Isaacson, Rich Kurtz and Jimmy ”Old School” Glenn. It will be a non-stop dance party and show featuring the big hits of Bill Haley and the Comets, Duane Eddie, Del Shannon, Conway Twitty, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Joey Dee and the Starlighters, Bob Dylan and The Band and the finale featuring the original soundtrack from “Eddie & the Cruisers” filmed at Tony Mart’s in 1982.
In addition to these greatest hits, the show is a slammin’ rock 'n roll jam featuring emotional vocal performances and incredible instrumental solos on five famous, show-stopping songs: Ray Charles “What'd I Say,” Eisley Brothers' “Shout,” Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness,” Bob Dylan’s ”I Shall Be Released” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Rosalita.”
This show will be the centerpiece of a dinner dance party produced especially for the Ocean City and Mainland Regional High School Class of ’62 and their friends at Greate Bay Country Club on Friday, October 17, but all Tony Mart fans and the public are invited.
The party will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6:30pm with a buffet dinner including carving stations, a pasta station, healthy side dishes and salad being served at 7 pm with the show beginning at 7:45 pm to allow people to continue to enjoy the buffet, the cash bar and the performance which will last over 2 hours.
Lots of dancing and nostalgia will be encouraged and everyone will be invited to share their favorite Ocean City, Mainland and Tony Mart story or experience.
Tickets are $65 each and a portion of each ticket ($12) will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
