Charlie Bowman and Kyle Tester tied for Wave of the Day in the annual Turkey Trot Surfing Contest in Ocean City on Nov. 30 at Seventh Street Beach. They were given awards by Don Pileggi (left) and Jim Kirk (second from right).
With no surf on Saturday (Nov. 29), the annual Ocean City Surfing Association Turkey Trot Surfing contest was postponed by a day.
And Mother Nature rewarded patience with 3- to 5-foot waves that built throughout the contest on Sunday.
Turkey Trot women's winners included Kathryn Swatck, Caroline Bowman, Brin Bowman and Ali Hendricks.

OCSA founder Don Pileggi and Jim Kirk — two of the legends of Ocean City surfing history — were on hand to give out awards.
The event was sponsored by the OCSA and the Ocean City Recreation Department with Nick Bricker and Rob Kelly assisting in running the event.
