New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will travel to Ocean City on Thursday (August 14) "to continue to highlight the need for New Jersey to go further on pension and benefits reform in order to protect critical investments and fund essential programs," according to the Governor's Office.
The "No Gain, No Pain: A Conversation at the Jersey Shore" town hall event is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Ocean City Music Pier (on the Ocean City Boardwalk between Eighth and Ninth streets).
The public is invited to attend and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. But residents can RSVP to Townhall.OceanCity@gov.
"Ocean City is part of a series of conversations this summer where the governor will make the case for reform and take questions," a news release from the governor said.
Christie held town hall events at the Ocean City Music Pier in 2011 and 2012, and he walked the Ocean City Boardwalk to promote shore tourism last summer and earlier this summer.
