The next “Fridays With Friends” event for local teenagers will be 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24.
The program invites teenagers to hang out together and participate in music, games and other activities. The event is for Ocean City and Upper Township students in grades 8 to 12. Teens must show a school identification, but there is no cost to participate.
The next event will be held at the Ocean City Community Center (1735 Simpson Avenue). The events always include pizza and music. Special themes include ping pong, karaoke, swimming, self-defense instruction, wallyball, Xbox games and a movie.
The Municipal Alliance Committee, Ocean City Police Department and Community Policing Unit, Ocean City Free Public Library, Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center, Ocean City Recreation Department and the Ocean City and Sea Isle City School Districts co-sponsor the seasonal series of events.
