A poetry reading by Mark Soifer that had been scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ocean City Free Public Library has been postponed due to the snowy weather. The event will be rescheduled but the new date is still to be determined.

When the program is rescheduled, Ocean City’s longtime public relations director – the mastermind behind events from Martin Z. Mollusk Day to the Miss Crustacean Pageant – will read poems from his 10th book of verse, “Pair of Dice Lost.” The book is illustrated by artist Jerome Lukas, who will attend the reading and demonstrate his talents. Admission will be free.

Due to the weather, the American Sign Language Class and Game Night were also canceled at the library Wednesday.
