Santa Sighting in Ocean City, NJ

WHO:  Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Merchants Association, Ocean City Tourism Commission and City of Ocean City

 WHAT:  An Old-Fashioned Family Christmas in Downtown Ocean City – entertainment to accompany everyone’s holiday shopping experience beginning at 2pm. At 5pm, the Christmas Tree at City Hall will be lit. Then Santa will arrive in Ocean City just like he did years ago. The Jolly Old Elf will descend from the roof of City Hall with the assistance of a Fire Department Ladder Truck. This dramatic entrance is nostalgic of days past; a tradition that began in the 1960’s.

Program includes Show Stoppers (Carolers and String Band) strolling Avenue 6-9th St. from 2 – 4 p.m.; Hampton Brass Quartet from noon until 3m; Fox Production Singers strolling from 8th-11th St., 2 -4 p.m.; Michael Hartman, Ocean City Theatre Co., 4-5 p.m. at City Hall; Keith Hickman, performing on City Hall Steps, 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.; Dean Duncan, Stilt Walker, strolling from 6-11th St., 2-5 p.m.; free Horse and Carriage Rides, 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. from in front of City Hall; SANTA, Soifer Park, across from City Hall, 2p.m., 5:15-5:45 p.m. (bring your camera), the PHILLIE PHANATIC, 4-6 p.m.  at City Hall. Downtown stores will be open on Friday nights until 8pm.

 WHEN:  Friday, November 25th. Event begins at 2pm, Santa arrives 5pm.
