OCBP Captain Thomas A. Williams looks on as City Commissioner Laurence P. Lunny presents 1951 rowing trophies to Tom Oves and Bill Morrow. Morrow will join Oves in the Ocean City Beach Patrol Hall of Fame at the August 9th Lifeguard Reunion Party.

Harbaugh

Ocean City lifeguards will be on the Decatur Avenue beach in Margate Friday evening, August 1st ready to compete in the 69th annual Margate Beach Patrol World War II Memorial Lifeguard Races. The three event tournament—doubles row, swim, singles row—begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Ocean City Rowing and Athletic Association presented the 2014 Ocean City Beach Patrol photograph to Bob Harbaugh to add to his collection of lifeguard pictures dating back to 1898 on the walls of his restaurant at 14th Street and the Boardwalk.

Harbaugh won the Margate Memorial singles rowing race in 1948 and 1949. He was inducted into the OCBP Hall of Fame in 1986.
