O.C. School Board Returns Two, Adds Newcomer

The Board of Education oversees Ocean City High School and two other public schools.

Two incumbents and one challenger won three-year seats on the Ocean City Board of Education on Tuesday.

J. Tiffany Prettyman, a current school board member, was the top vote-getter with 1,876 votes. Her fellow incumbent, Gregory Whelan, received 1,575 votes, according to unofficial totals from the Cape May County Board of Elections.

Challenger Patrick Kane won the third board seat, garnering 1,284 votes.

Incumbent Dale F. Braun Jr. fell short in his re-election bid with 1,071 votes. Melissa Flink received 1,006 votes and Conor Fleming had 883 votes.
