The Board of Realtors clothing drive helps those in need each year.

The Ocean City Board of Realtors announced its fall clothing drive to collect coats, gloves, blankets, sweaters and other cold weather items.

Donations will be collected now through Nov. 24 and will be distributed to the local community through the Ocean City Ecumenical Clothes Closet.

The Warmth for the Winter Drive will collect gently used or new items. Of urgent need this winter are coats, jackets, men’s gloves, blankets and sheets.

You are invited to clean out your closets at home and help others in the process. The Ecumenical Clothes Closet will find a new home for the items.

Donations may be dropped off at the office of the Ocean City Board of Realtors at 405 22nd Street. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Board of Realtors asks that all donations are placed in a plastic bag. Plastic bags will be provided as needed.

“It’s time to switch over your wardrobe from summer to winter and clean out your closets. We encourage our fellow Realtors, friends and neighbors to donate items that are gently used or new that will provide warmth for the winter to local families,” said Gloria Votta, chairwoman of the Community Services Committee, Ocean City Board of Realtors.
