Man Found Dead on Cape May Beach

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Dekon Fashaw of the Cape May Police Department announced a joint death investigation that is ongoing in the Cape May.

Earlier Monday morning, patrol officers from the Cape May Police Department discovered the body of an approximately 50-year-old man at the Cove Beach near the end of Beach Drive. Detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cape May Police Department immediately responded and are currently conducting an investigation.

Sutherland stated this is a non-suspicious death. There is no threat to the public and the preliminary investigation has revealed no foul play is involved.

Sutherland also stated this is an ongoing investigation and more information may be released once it becomes available.
