Dear Friends,

With the arrival of a new moon on Friday, tides are running high. With rain and wind in the forecast coming up, some street flooding is possible.

The National Weather Service has not yet issued any advisories, but please stay posted for any updates and continue to monitor conditions.

Organizers are expected to decide tomorrow on any potential weather delay for the Great Egg Hunt tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the beach between 11th Street and 14th Street.

The rain date will be at 2:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday.

Look for announcements about this decision Saturday afternoon. The forecast for Sunday looks much better.

The Rev. Larry Oksten, pastor at St. Peter’s, will provide the sermon for the Community Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Ocean City Music Pier.

All are invited to this traditional non-denominational service.

The Easter Fashion Stroll will start with a performance by the Philly Keys, a dueling piano show, at noon Sunday in front of the Music Pier.

Michele and I would like to wish everybody a happy Easter with family and friends.

Warm regards,

Mayor Jay A. Gillian
