The following is Ocean City, NJ Mayor Jay Gillian’s weekly update to citizens posted on Friday, Feb. 13.
Dear Friends:
Last evening I presented the administration’s recommended 2015 operating budget to City Council and delivered my annual budget address.
I was pleased to report that Ocean City is in very good shape as both a local government and a community. Financially we are very sound with property values on the increase and our fund balance at a record level. We are positioned nicely to responsibly advance an aggressive capital improvement program over the next few years. The full text of my remarks can be found HERE.
A great place to escape the cold and celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend is the Music Pier as the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company presents the Off-Broadway sensation “Forbidden Broadway Greatest Hits: Volume 1.” This family-friendly Broadway show will be presented on February 13 and 14 at 7:30 PM and February 15 at 2:00 PM. Forbidden Broadway is a guaranteed night of sidesplitting laughs and fantastic professional talent. Hope to see you there!
