With all types of homes to choose from, there is one home in particular just on the market that seems to stand out because of its beauty, amenities and custom qualities that make it superior to many others.
That home is at 15 W. Edinburgh Road in the Gardens section of Ocean City. The single-family home boasts many must-haves for the high-end buyer, including a pool, cathedral ceilings, three gas fireplaces and a large kitchen with all updated appliances. It is also within walking distance to the beach.

The Straubs are relocating to Florida to be closer to family and have decided to sell the home.
The couple, who have two sons, Chris, 10, and Connor, 9, said it has been a great place for them and their children and family dog. Christopher Straub grew up in Ocean City and when they had the opportunity to come back while he worked remotely, they settled in the Gardens.
“The kids love it here. We love our home so much. I always say, ‘If I could pick this house up and move it somewhere else I would,’” Theresa Straub said.
The Straubs have not listed the home with a broker just yet. They are listing it for sale by owner at $3.5 million.
Over the years, the home has given the family so much.
One of the highlights was living so close to the beach.
“We can walk right down to the beach,” Theresa said. “Some of the locals call it Sunset Beach. It is a great place to go sit with your family and watch the sunset.”
In a town such as Ocean City, where real estate is always at a premium, the low inventory of properties is reflected in the quick sales often over asking price for homes.
And while Theresa Straub said their home appeals to a particular buyer, she said there are so many great points about the residence. All one has to do is look at the photos.
The bedrooms are large. The master bedroom has its own sitting area and a gas fireplace. There are also two office spaces, perfect for the Straubs who have both worked from home.
On the third floor, there is a play room for the children that also has a kitchenette and an exercise space.
When entering the home there is an open an airy entryway.
“You walk in the front door of the house and you are in the big, open entrance hallway with the staircase that you could look up to the third floor,” Theresa said.
The caliber and quality of the home, built by local developer Dean Adams, is seen throughout. There are crown moldings and tons of windows that let in an abundance of natural light.
“This is a great home for entertaining guests. They have a lot of privacy for when they are here,” Theresa said.
And the Straubs did not skimp on the amenities, including a landscaped lawn, top-of-the-line hurricane-rated Anderson windows and glass sliders for the three outdoor porch spaces.
“This is a wonderful home,” Theresa noted. “It could be a summer home because of the location and the way it is laid out or a full-time residence.”
