A storm moving up the coast on the day before Thanksgiving will bring only rain to Ocean City.

The latest National Weather Service forecast calls for snow in Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey on Wednesday, Nov. 26, one of the busiest travel days of the year.

The rain-snow line will cross the Interstate 95 corridor on Wednesday evening but never reach Ocean City.

The forecast calls for heavy rain in Ocean City that will continue well into Wednesday night. The high temperature will reach 43 degrees on Wednesday afternoon and fall only to 34 degrees on Wednesday night.

The nor’easter will bring sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph with gusts as strong as 41 mph on Wednesday.

Thanksgiving Day is expected to be cloudy but dry with a high of 42 degrees.

An offshore wind on Thursday could clean up the northeast swell and create ideal surf conditions. The ocean water temperature is 47 degrees.
