As the necessity of the cancellation of Ocean City’s Great Easter Egg Hunt became a reality, Jody and Jill Levchuk, owners of Jilly’s Boardwalk stores, and their family, felt awful that so many children would not be able to participate in the longstanding Ocean City Easter tradition, according to a press release.

Not to mention, they had already prepared Jilly’s stores’ contribution of pre-filled Easter eggs for the event.

The Levchuk family has decided to donate these eggs and special baskets to the families of Ocean City in an effort to not only give back to their community, but to bring fun and cheer to families during social distancing.

“This is going to be amazing. We can’t wait to do it,” Levchuk said Monday. “Other Boardwalk businesses have already contacted me about adding things for the kids.”

The Levchuk family wants to help bring the Easter Egg Hunt to the community by giving out free “Easter Egg Hunt Kits.”

Each kit contains plastic Easter eggs, individually wrapped candy, small gifts, and prizes.

To receive a kit, families can fill out a request form on the Jilly’s website from 12 p.m. March 31 through April 8.

Egg Hunt Kits will be taken on a first come, first served basis while supplies last and will be safely dropped off at your home on April 11 with no contact to abide by safe social distancing practices during the coronavirus outbreak.

Ocean City families can learn more and request a kit here starting Tuesday at noon: https://jillysocnj.com/easter-egg-hunt/
